Question 1
Is it true that Blink 182 is back?...  Theres rumors that they are back and that they are not so i really wanna know whats going on with them... And are they making a new album? Send videos or blogs for proves

Answers
1)   no sorry. - ChrisC

2)   They are back together and just did a tour or a couple of shows in Europe. I don't know if they are doing an album or US tour. The drummer won't fly (for obvious reasons) so he is on a cruise ship right now coming back from the shows in Europe. The guitarist is doing a show on Fuel, I'm sure you can get some info on the show online somewhere - BalloonRich

3)   Yes, they're back. They just did a Europe tour, and they did a US tour last summer. Travis is currently on a boat back from Europe, and when he get's back blink is going into the studio. They are also playing a single show in CA.

Mark, bassist, is currently doing a show alongside with blink. Travis, drummer, is releasing a solo album in the upcoming days along with blink. Toms, guitarist, other band, Angels and Airwaves, is submitting a movie to Sundance. - David

4)   I can tell you just about anything you need to know about an old Volkswagen, but I have no idea about anything that has to do with Blink 182. - Aircooled Chick

Question 2
Is it a good idea to buy a Jetta?...  A 2010 Jetta TDI for about about 26,000 from a VW dealer. Is this a good buy? Are there any drawbacks to the car?

Answers
1)   If it's new okay...if it's used forget it. Is it a good idea to buy a vw/jetta? Not really unless you only plan to keep it for a couple years (under 40k). That's my opinion...the transmissions are garbage. - Hank Scorpio

2)   VW Jetta is a good piece of Engineering marvel. But expensive to maintain. Service quality is poor. - tvl

3)   Pretty sure your in Europe and pretty sure the other two answers are from USA. There is a problem with US VW, they are made in Mexico ! There is a brand new American plant being built. As your car is really a Golf with a boot, you should note that the Golf has just won two seperate car of the year awards in "What Car" magazine. In reality the VW is as good as anything on offer in Europe and better than most. If you keep the car for 3 years and do 60k miles you are talking about 3 to 4 services. This depends on whether you have the car on the "Long life" oil. The car will typically do 17 to 18k between services.Push the dealer to service the car for you and you will only need to bother about 2 more services if you dispose of the car by 60k miles. Servicing is not the be all anyway. I have a Golf 2005 model with 118k and the exhaust is the original, the clutch was changed at 78k and I have just changed the rear discs which were the original ! I can state with certainty that most mainstream manufacturers parts will not last this length of time. - L G

Question 4
73 Bettle backfires.?...  Installed new carb kit, ignition pulses are steady and strong, timing is dead on, compression is 110 across the board. intake and exhaust are sealed up good. I'm at my wits end on this one. When you step on the gas it falls flat on it's face then "Bang". You can rev it up ok if you do it slowly. Also it's idle quality is poor. Any ideas would help, thanks.

Answers
1)   Sounds like you're running really rich, chances are your carb jets are wrong. Take it to a shop that has access to a Wideband-O2 sensor and a Dyno and let them tune your engine to a proper air-to-fuel ratio. - dmocrsi

2)   You might need to replace/overhaul the distributor. The advance may not be working, or it may have gotten stiff over the years. - Old Man Dirt

3)   yeah check the air/fuel mixture, timing at full advance. what distributor are running on the motor? what carb is it and what size motor? also check for vacuum leaks around the base of the carb and the boots for the intake manifolds on each side. my $$$ would be on a vac leak somewhere. spray carb cleaner around the base of the carb where it sits on the manifold and on the intake boots. if it bubbles or the engine RPM changes. you found your leak. - Air-Cooled (o\ ! /o)
