I have a 2001 jetta with 180000, the car is about 2 yrs to be paid off but this is the kicker the car ......?...  The car has manual problems i.e when you put it on reverse gear their is a funny sound and I can`t drive on the fifth gear because the noise from the gear box worsens....

Part B .... Of the issue the bank wants to reposses the car because i have been late my credit is about 440 , so am thinking with that credit no big dealership is giving me a car on a good rate, the exchange for the car is only about $600 only and I owe $5000 on the car loan.

Do I just let Bank of America get the car and look for another car that I can pay cash, or do I need to sweet talk bank of america (What Are my Options:WAO!!) toward the banks decision

Antifreeze for a 2001 VW Beetle?...  I started my car and my coolant light started flashing red. So I checked it and it was extremely low. I had no coolant to add so I added some water and went to the store. My vw mechanic at the dealership said not to mix coolant cuz it could gel up and blow. Is this true? Our can I buy a product like prestone for all makes and modelslike the bottle says? Or do they sell a coolant at the part store I could buy? Please help!!

1)   It won't blow up, but there are differences in the corrision protection and with some brands, it won't mix together, which in theory could possibly cause it to "gel". You should also carry the power steering fluid as it does not mix with other fluids, adding "regular" power steering fluid or even worse ATF will also cause problems as well.

Getting back to the question at hand, yes, only use either G12 coolant or the G12+ coolant, only available at VW or Audi dealerships. If you're low on fluid and the amount that it is low is very small, its best that you add only distilled water to the cooling system. You can add the G12 as soon as possible. - a car nut

2)   You can put in the Prestone 'all'. VW want phosphate free coolant. Believe Prestone All is that. Read the label on the jug to double check if it's compatible. - Kenny

can you help with blue badge problem?...  my registered car was vandalised as a result it is at repair centre.i have been left with a loan car.my question is, as my tax disc is on my registered car can i still use my blue badge on the loan car.thanks.

How much does my '68 VW Bug weigh?...  I need my '68 VW Bugs weight to register it in RI. Where is this info? It's not on the inside of the door like newer cars. But the tire pressure recommendation and max load weight (838 lbs) is on the inside of the glove compartment. Is there a website out their for me?
It doesn' t weigh 1,786. Thats the last bug made on July 30, 2003.

2)   what do you mean the key. the volkswagen key fob is in three parts take out the batteries and put in new. if you mean theres no key slot then next to the handle underneath the handle is a small slot stick the key in and it will pop off. then you can manually use the key - Volkswagen
