2)   Look on craigslist or just customize your own to the way you like it. Do you just like the vw bus or open to other models? Do a search for vw forums and sure you can find one there are lots out there.

6)   OK.. assuming you have the money, check your local Craigslist for VW Bus or VW Transporter You should find a few, but be prepared to pay for them.

The price of the old vans is going steadily up as the market dwindles. A fully restored Kombi (the one with 20+ windows in it) runs you about $20 to $25k and even a rusted out shell of a bus runs about $300 to $500 for the parts value alone.

You may also want to check the COMPLETED items on eBay to get an idea of the price vs value of the cars.

2)   Yes it can be done but not at home. You would need a specialist tuner like the one below. I do not know them or recommend them.
I would recommend thinking twice before potentially overstressing what is already a 9 year old engine though.

3)   If you want to destroy your engine give it try. It would be better to save the money towards the car you really want - Huge

4)   Its very easy to boost 90 bhp to 130 bhp especially in a 2 litre turbo diesel engine. You can have someone come out & remap the current engine management or buy an add on chip that you simply fit yourself in 10 Min's & generally cost less. Both systems come with guarantees & will increase your MPG as well as overall performance. For an add on chip try DTUK (Diesel Tuning UK) I use one of these products myself (150 bhp to 206 bhp) for 18 months now. - Mark

How do i get my pin # for my 2006 vw passat?...  I had to jump start my car and now the radio will not work unless a 4 digit pin is entered. I have the serial # for radio unit but it is way to long and has some letters in it.

1)   You need to go to the VW dealers to get this.

Some people were putting them on here for free but seem to have stopped for fear of being reported to the Police as it circumvents an important security feature that has in part helped to reduce car crime for all of us.

2)   Normally, the PIN is provided on a plastic tag that was in the owner's manual. If you lost that tag...the next stop is the VW dealership - cant_think_of_1
