Slang terms like Dub-head, and if you ain't rubbin you ain DUBbin, a well known get together in titled Dubs on the beach, a large VW club called Dubs of Queens, all in reference to VW, NOT BMW. BMWs are called Bimmers. And VWs were Dubs WAAAY before 20+ inch rims became popular on cars.

my jetta's top speed is 130 mph(on paper), but i cnt get it pass the 120 mph. why is that?...  i drive a 2009 vw jetta 2.5 cali edition. is got the car brand new, nd since the first day it just wont go more then 120, at first i thought its the limiter but then i checked online nd it said 130, it pissesme off lol

1)   From what I've found, most newer Volkswagen's are governed at 130mph, but it takes a long time to get there. A couple reasons could be aerodynamic drag, excessive load, it needs maintenance, etc - booyahbd

2)   in some states the ECU of the jetta is limited lower due to the tires speed rating,many manufacturers do this,the most famous incident being the 4th generation v8 camaros where some or them had a 150 speedo and the economy package (with lower rated tires)maxed out at 110 yet both had the exact same output in power, in either case if it bothers you that much,the computer can be "flashed" to remove the limiter. 2003 PASSAT LHR door central locking intermittent operation and window now wont work?...  Power can be heard getting to window motor. Anybody had same concern ?

1)   well the window not working but power getting heard......like um ok if u say so....sounds like u need a new window regulator....

now as for the door locks not working that is a separate problem....and is usually caused by either the relay going out or the driver door actuator failing.....can b other door actuators but driver is most common since its used the most..... - Karle
