Jetta Wolfsburg or 2.0T premium or unleaded?

I think the jetta wolfsburg. Because its sporty-er, but the 2.0t is still pretty decent on gas mileage. The Jetta 2.0t takes just regular unleaded fuel, while the wolfsburg takes regular gas too. good luck, hope it helps
Corey

Look in your manual. Also, ALL gasoline is unleaded. I think you're looking for "regular" when you mean unleaded. If premium is required then it will also say so on your gas cap. Since the 2.0T is turbocharged(IIRC) then it will likely need/prefer) higher octane gas.
Chad D

its what gets you the best mileage with really not all fuels the same not all car drove the same only real way first fill up with best at place you like to stop at most set mileage write it down drive til you need to refill at sam e place try next lower type octane do same thing set mileage write it down one that gets you the best mileage right one then stop at another place that you sometimes stop at do same thing do this with say two places going to work two places coming home then you know which places and what fuel octane gets you the best mileage thats been working for me 40 yrs its like this my nissan gets great mileage with shell high octane but gets the same with mobil regular getting the best mileage is what you want or your car needs cant just say it take high octane only fuels vary with brands and cities only real way of knowing which your car runs best on it by testing a few brands and octanes most cases higher the octane the better it runs but not always the case and only you as driver wil be able to test a few and know easier to start with places you drive by going or coming from house or work picking two or more places and tesing how far or how many miles you get with each brand of high octane or regular and thats the only way to know or best way to know it is by testing a few my car runs better on shell my truck likes chevron my bike likes mobil thats what you want to know which one gets you the best mileage stay away from E85 since even the cars that can run it dont get better mileage
kelly_f_1999

I would use premium.
It is usually recommended with VW.

I have a Passat and I have to use high octane.
ric m

The T in 2.0T stands for turbo. You will need to run Premium fuel in your car so as not to blow the motor or run into detonation.
tim

Premium- there is a sticker on the inside of the fuel filler door. Or, look in your owner's manual.
djaca70

It won't hurt to run regular if you want regular performance. I wouldn't put regular in my lawn mower.I have a cheap ass Saab 16 vavle, and I still run Premum.

You get much better performance, better fuel economy and all your parts last longer. When you run regular,1 sensor leads to another to another. Your car being turbo-def would benifit from Premium! Or you can run 1 tank of each grade and see how your car performs on each one and hit your trip meter each time and see how many miles you get on each driving the same way all the time! Divide miles into gals or gal into miles(I forget which) Your turbo need premium. You can look in owners manual and inside gas door!
that70svan

Any Turbo car made past 03 requires Premium!
Never ever put regular gas in a Turbo car!

How Many Miles To The Gallon do 1971 Volkswagen Beetles Get?

i have one and i need to know

you write it all down keep a record of it shoul dknow how or what it is with a couple tanks
how to check fuel mileage
kelly_f_1999

Depends on what engine you have, but they're both close. I have a 1973 Volkswagen Std. Beetle with the 46 horse, and it gets about 27-29 in the city and 30-32 highway. It really depends on how you drive it, though. You can't floor it and expect good gas mileage. I was able to get 36 miles per gallon on the highway going 55 in 4th gear. If you want to get the best gas mileage on the highway, go 55; like most cars back then it was designed to be the most efficient at 55. On regular roads, don't accelerate like you're in a race. Not only does that make the gas mileage terrible, but it also puts a lot of unnecessary ware and tare on it.
Prime

It depends on many factors, including the condition of the car. Just figure it out. Fill the car up. Record the mileage on the odometer. The next filliup note the odometer reading again. Subtract the second reading from the first reading. Take this number and divide it by the amount of gallons you put in and this will give you the MPG. It will be on the high side. They always got great MPG.
Fudge Town

Depends on the driver(sounds like a cop out but it is true). That is numero uno. Then there is a bunch of other shyte that all subtract from that best number...such as:
1. Tires(radials are better than bias ply, summer better than winter and correct tire size and air pressure)Brands even matter. I had the best result with Michelin. Harder rubber, longer lasting, better MPG.
2. Do the wheels spin freely? 0 brake drag<I cite the case where I have a drive in garage. Drive the car in stop, don't set the parking brake and get out of the cars(yeah a few of them over the years). Car never moved unless I gave it a deliberate push. That "level" of a floor. Just bought a new car. Drove it home and stuffed it into the garage and got out and the car rolled out of the garage like it was parked on a hill. The brake shoes had not really worn into position yet so there was absolutely no drag.
"Blew me away to see that happen." for I had suspected there was a slope to the floor as garages are suppose to have in case of a gas leak....it is suppose to drain away from the building. - just never saw it.>
3. Air cleaner is clean(if original beetle that would be a clean oil bath (1/2" deep), all the antipollution hosing connected correctly, and engine running at correct idle speed with proper compression in each cylinder and valves all set correctly.
Carburetor is also set correctly and ignition timing also spot on.
4. Battery is in great shape and alternator/generator is working properly. (If battery is low, alternator/generator has to work to keep it charged) That work, robs you of HP. and fuel consumption is higher because it is needed to work.
5.City driving or highway flat road driving with few curves?
6. Roof racks or other accessories attached?
7. Is the car clean. Are the windows open or closed? (open windows have more air resistance than closed ones...so does a dirty car.)
While it may sound "trivial" to you, but how many F16's do you see fly by with the windows open and mud on the wings as they tow a trailer behind them?
8. How much additional crap is in the trunk besides the wheel wrench and spare tire. Should be nothing.
9. The clutch cannot be slipping.
10 Stock muffler exhaust system works very well and does an adequate job. Header performance is questionable...for the money.

All in all, you can probably expect to get 25MPG on a new VW beetle produced in 1971 and measured in 1971.(new)"these were the "stock" settings from the factory.
Nowadays, I would still expect to get in the 20's on a stock VW beetle. If it has been hopped up or hot rodded, toss those figures out the window. You get what it gives you.
Measure from fill up to fill up(and that does not mean you have to go to empty before you refill) Just start with a full tank and mark down the odometer reading. And drive for a while.(100 miles or so) Especially if you are "test driving" a unit debating whether to buy it. Then go back to the same gas station and use the same pump and fill up as you did before. This time note how much gas you took(gallons and fraction) and also note the new number on the odometer. Do the mileage subtraction from the old odometer number and you know how far you drove. Then divide that mileage by the number of gallons plus fraction of gallon.
Use a calculator. Fractions are in decimals. 1/2=.5 1/4=.25 1/3=.333 and you should be able to figure out what it is. (Double check by multiplying the resulting MPG by the gas used to get the mileage driven.)-it is all basic arithmetic.
If you do this consistently, you will know the general health of the engine, drive train, which routes are more economical to take(truckers and trucking companies) like to know this for fuel for them is in much greater amounts on a daily basis.
I played with my VW. Fuel economy wise: experimentation. moved the usage from stock 25 mpg to 42 mpg. consistently.... just by a little tweaking of this and that. Regular fuel. And my gas tank is a 200 gallon unit. (remember, from fill to fill is where the measure is made from on total mileage covered and total amount of fuel used for that distance. Just keep the records until calculation day.

Best speed to travel...52-3 MPH.

If it is Fuel Injection, you are basically stuck with factory settings (again about 25 MPG). Nothing to "play" with there.

The only way you can beat that system is to "read" the road ahead and use gravity and tail winds to your advantage....don't tailgate(never need to touch the brake pedal or gear down wasting the fuel you used to get up to that speed) and you can "float" down speed wise. That means watching the rear view mirror for other traffic and driving in the none passing lane.
"Riding" many minor hills with the clutch in allowing the weight of the vehicle and gravity to do the pushing. is "gravitational physics at work". It is no different than riding a bicycle and coasting on the hills no matter where or how minor they are.
Don't believe it makes a difference? Try it. You still are totally "safe" and within the law. Gas companies "hate you" though...
My Work Here is Finished

around 20-27mpg depending on how well tuned your engine is.

it this a good deal for a gti?!?

What's the difference between a Rabbit and a GTI?

and the R32

Asked by: Rohandra @ 2009-07-19 14:32:22

go onto the volkswagen website. There you will be able to compare all three models.

www.vw.com
Gellar

vw Rabbit- Smaller, more fuel efficent.

vw GTI- sporty, yet fast, fun and sassy

vw R32- awd, v6, automatic trans, fastest, fun, premium sound, pure heaven.

(both the rabbit and gti avalible in Automatic or manual transmisson)
or go to www.vw.com and decide for yourself. good luck, hope this helps
Corey

r32 and GTI arent much, but generally the r32 has different seats, rims, and engine.
the body is almost the same.

the rabbit dosent have a turbo and it has a totally different body style.

if you look at the original rabbit and gti you will be able to tell more closly.

i know the mk5's look kinds close.

Does the 2000 Volkswagen Beetle Bug, have a CD player in it, or just tape?

I am getting a 2000 Volkswagen Beetle bug in about a week, and I was wondering if they had a CD player in it, or just tape? From what I saw when I looked through the car window, was a tape player, which is still fine, cause I have a tape adapter for my Zune and iPod, and an FM wireless transmitter for it too! :)

door or window seal bad can check by having some one spray it with a water hose while you sit in car and look or feel
kelly_f_1999

your window rubber seal is letting water pass into the interior. If you go to a Company who fit windscreens, like Autoglass. they can locate where it is leaking with sensors, and seal it for you.

do hippie vans get good gas millage[sp]?

me and my friend are gunna move out wen she/we turn 16. shes gunna get a hippie van and were gunna travel alot so i want to know if they get good gas millage and are hippie vans expinsive?

Asked by: Pain-Is-My-Addiction @ 2009-07-19 20:47:23

Answers ::
A hippie van is any van that hippies use. Vans basically are the same mechanically as pick up trucks, so they don't get good gas mileage. A better bet would be to get a minivan, they are mechanically more like cars and will get better mileage.
sashazur

no they dont.
they are big and heavy.
j

they really do not get good milage, a newer eurovan does well but they are expensive often dobling the price of a regular minivan but has 2 times the miles on them.

the old ones are cool but slow and due to high milage and years can be much work to maintain and due to collectiability can be quite expensive.

you could look into a mini van or a good choice is a conversion like a dodge ford or the best i think is chevy,
you can often find them for less then 3 grand and the interiors can be nice, the best thing is so many parts are interchangable from the trucks and vans and years repair costs can be fair.
just pull out the 2nd bench for room, they average 14 to 16 miles per gallon sometimes better.
