because she does not want her career to go to a end like her mom did mindy fox
poporodriguez
why not? if someone found out later and she didnt tell anyone it would come back to bite her in the a**. everyone would think she was ashamed and rude for not telling anyone and then everyone would turn against her. not good.

It's the hip thing to do these days. Confuse the public whether or not you are a transvestite. I do it all the time.

Haha, she was joking. I watched the video. It's quite plain as day that she was joking about that.

I honestly don't know. For attention perhaps? Maybe Shia was passing hints.."Hey I told the media I think my mom's hot, tell them you're a man!"
Attention get?
Suta
Because she's a Volkswagen?

She probably have said that to the see if she can get some of the guy's attention off her, but I don't think it worked.

would a supercharger from a vw corrado 1.8 fit on a VR6?
i have a deal on a supercharger from a 1.8 and want to know if i could fit it on my VR6, and if it did would it increase my hp alot?
Asked by: Alex H @ 2009-07-14 02:20:23
Answers ::
Nope.
Tracy
no because the airways are different.the vr6s supercharger has larger airways to bring more air in.the 1.8 supercharger would "suffocate" the vr6.
Jettaowner
i dont think there is anything a 1.8 has that will fit on a vr6
not even the radio or the battery
So Cali Guy
No the supercharger would not work with a vr6.
The supercharger is designed to flow into a 4cylinder and if you were to somehow adapt it to fit a vr6, it wouldn't flow nearly enough air to make a difference. the g60 ladder is a screw type charger and is typically not found on inline and narrow v (vr6) engines. The supercharger to use is the whipple, or side mounted supercharger, it looks just like a turbo but you bolt it to the side of your engine much like the alternator. Its driven off of your serpentine belt and not exhaust gasses.
Vortech makes a supercharger kit for the vr6 varients. I would go on the vwvortex and check out people selling kits.
Dan S
Of course not. You should know that. Different engine, different charger."more dinaro's"

A small improvement for a wad of continuous cash. You will be eating fuel big time continuously. "Dragging or not".
Turbo's are more economical in this area, only coming on when you stomp on the pedal. Super's are running all the time(requiring additional fuel). So you end up with a "pig" for a vehicle.

where can i buy a turbo kit for my 1970 vw beetle?

[Best Answer]These guys are crazy and must not know much about aircooled to be honest. Sure you can put a mild turbo on a VW. Go to www.vwturbokits.com. A well built VW aircooled engine can take a lot. The key being a properly built engine. I ran a small turbo on my old 1835dp sandrail and it did awesome. Never had a problem with it at all. Now this is of course if you can throw a couple grand at a new kit. If not, I would say start checking around on craigslist and thesamba.com. I find turbo kits on craigslist all the time here in Phoenix. Good luck!

those things are pretty fragile , get a conversion kit to a rotary motor , a turbo 13B will make your bug a honda killer

I just recently (really i just now installed it) installed a propane kit on my VW. It cost less than 50 dollars. (because i just happened to have a couple tanks of propane lying around.) All it really is a propane tank with a regulator valve and a momentary switch. I attached the hose to the air intake. That seemed not to work too well because i have 250,000 miles on it. if it has less miles, it will work A-LOT better.

you have got to be kidding! those things barely stay together naturally aspirated. you might smoke a Honda once - but he will pass you on the side of the road!

opinions on making a vr6 faster?????

Always start with Intake/ exhaust/ Hedder/ cams.In that order.
That1guy
well the im with the first answer but f the intake a cai is a joke...and you can make an intake yourself
Jettaowner
I generally agree with the first post'er. If it were me, and I had already done some suspension upgrades like a rear sway bar and wheels/tires, i would defnitely do a magnaflow exhaust, a K&N panel filter, pulleys, cams, chip.
I would do it in that order, so many people do a chip when all they have is exhaust and an intake. Its kind of pointless if you plan on doing more. Your chjip will need to be adjusted to all your performance mods and should be installed when you have just about everything you want on there.
The only next logical step is forced induction. Now some will say that engine machine work would be the next step, but again here is where i disagree. Fine machining, and port/polishing engine internals should be done to increase the reliability and balance of an engine. While performance gains can be had here they are minimal on most modern engines without going to extreme measures. A simple supercharger, or even turbo setup and an engine rebuild would yeild the greatest hp benefit.
If i were you i would do the exhaust, panel filter, pulleys, and chip and see how you like that. It will sound good, go pretty good, and not cost an arm and a leg.
Besides that car has the best power to weight ratio of any VW and is definitely one of the fastest still in the vw lineup.
Dan S
With a mkIII you going to want a good running Vr6, with less then 125,000 miles to turbo. Keep in mind when you upgrade, say the headers or cams, that effects the other parts of the car so you pretty much have to replace everything in the engine. If your going to go with a turbo, make sure is from a legitimate source, not an ebay turbo or some cheap one. I recommend:

you also will need to set aside time and a good chunk of change to do the project.

Do geeky girls drive beetles?!?
Because I used to have a convertible one as my first car, wrecked it (long story), and am thinking about getting another one in a different color (cream with black top)
all my friends were kinda shocked that i got one at first, lol. but i have a chance to get a different car any opinions? and are only geeky girls notorious for driving beetles?
(i really enjoyed my bug..)

Nope, the cool ones love the bugs! Get what you like unless your friends are paying for it, it's not their decision.
Jo
Not at all! I have one and love it. I'm not a geek at all, especially if there a convertbile that makes them cool, all your friends are just jealous
Shopaholic1122
geeky girls drive really REALLY high tech cars. bugs r cool! i am a big VW fan and if u gt a bug, u will enjoy it. get a older 1 4 classic style, stickshift 4 gas millage, and a new one 4 a sporty look.
William Uptown
Well I'm a 16 year old guy, and I am everything but geeky- I am a mechanic, salesman, and archatect. I wear a leather jacket with jeans. I have semi-long, silky black hair that's down to my neck and out three inches from my forehead plus a devilock. I have a semi-long mustache, also black and silky, finely combed. I am a musician, I play the guitar and sing in my classic punk band. I am ripped with muscle. Do I sound like a geeky girl to you (I'm a guy, remember)? I drive a completely stock 1973 Volkswagen Beetle, as well as four other stock aircooled Volkswagens (the 73 is my daily driver). That should answer your question.

will this engine fit in my jetta?
the 3.2l vr6.is there enough room to put that into a 2000 jetta that has the 2.8l vr6.also would the transmission hooked up to the 2.8 hook up to the 3.2?
will it fit?
Asked by: Jettaowner @ 2009-07-14 14:24:28
Answers ::
No, it is a different transmission.
djaca70
No.
JOHNNY C
Technically yes the engine itself will fit. The transmission for that particular engine will not. You'll notice that the 3.2 only comes in audi based models. The r32/tt, the passat/a4, ect. ect.
If i were you i would look into getting a 24valve engine or maybe a supercharger from vortech, maybe a turbo setup from HPA.
To answer you second question the transmissions are completely different, and would require either a totally new bellhousing, or some serious fabrication.
Dan S
actually, if i remember correctly, you guys are wrong. i believe the trans will work, i was told that ALL vr6 bell housings are the same and will match up, but that doesn't mean the trans will work. you will probably need to figure out how to mount the trans differently. i would still suggest against doing such a swap.

How much is an oil change for a 2005 VW Beetle?
Asked by: Joe @ 2009-07-14 09:09:23
Answers ::
depends on where you live and who you want it done by. joe shmoe's garage will charge you less than $30 for it but it won't guarantee a great job. dealerships will charge more but guarantee service and will do a routine check making sure nothing else is wrong.
Johnny D
Jiffly lube 19.95, others usually 20-30 range for regular/conventional oil, if they use synthetics, I have head 60- to up to 200$
Scott H
Shouldn't be anymore than $40
