Question 2
Question for women: do you do that wiggle on purpose, or is it automatic?...  I happen to notice women walking down the street from time to time, or in the mall, perhaps, and some of those backsides have so much lateral motion that they really catch your eye. Other women walk so smoothly they could be carrying a tea cup back there without spilling a drop. Is this a matter of choice? Or does it just come naturally? Does it fluctuate with the hormones of the individual female? Has anyone done a doctoral thesis on this fascinating topic? If you would care to submit video of yourself walking away from the camera, it would be viewed for research purposes only.

Question 3
is the volkswagen golf a good first car?...  any information on insurance, servicing, repair, fuel economy?
any personal experiences?

Answers
1)   It's a wonderful car! It's small which means you can park it almost anywhere and it's also got a solid engine that will work its butt off for you. The downside is that repair and maintenance on any German car is NOT cheap. I love German cars but they do cost much more to repair and maintain than American or Japanese cars. But if you can handle the extra costs in that department, it is definitely an awesome vehicle to have. - the_unluckiest

2)   get a fiat first
get used to it
then get a better car after a few yrs - Sudais R

3)   You also should compare car insurance quotes for cars before buying one, for example here - carquotes.sinfree.net - Oliver

4)   Being a young driver, you might want to consider a Golf for it's safety features. Many more are standard on VW than on other makes.I''ve had an '06 Golf for four years,it's been great. All I've bought is gas,and they only need oil changes every 10,000 miles after break in.I'm anything but a new driver, but it's more fun that more expensive cars I've had.8 airbags, traction control, solid and more fun and nimble than my last Saab.Insurance was low because of said safety features.I get about 23/30 as it's a lot of engine(2.5,5 cylinder) for a small car.I'm happy to give up a few mpgs for the pickup, especially when merging. If I had a teenager I'd probably insist they start out in one. There are so many idiot drivers out there. - Blixen E

5)   You also should compare car insurance quotes for cars before buying one, for example here - carquotes.sinfree.net - Vins

6)   my suggesting would be getting as much information as you can before taking any action, here

Question 4
How much should I sell a 1967 VW Beetle for?...  the interior is pretty good and ive rebuilt the motor just needs to be painted( the color is grey primer).
the bug has no rust its a california car, the engine rebuild turned out great runs perfect.

Answers
1)   $2300 - Joe

2)   Is it rusty in those hidden areas that VWs are famous for? How did the engine rebuild turn out? Everything work? How are the tires? Is it stock or has it been cut up into a Baja bug? These are all questions you have to answer before putting a value on your car. Sight unseen, I'd give you $800-1000 for it but would go higher with the right answers to some of the questions I posed. - Arthur O

3)   its tough to price someone else's car. id say if you know it runs great, has little rust, the engine was build using proper and name brand reputable parts put a price tag of $2500. a receipt of the rebuild is also a price booster. at 2500 you might get someone to offer 2000. dont be disappointed if the best offer you get is 1250. you never get what you think is fair for a car even if you spent 5000 on the rebuild of the car set your hopes at getting maybe 2750 for it. - Air-Cooled ACVW

4)   go to www.thesamba.com,here you will find what you seek. - KAM

5)   I agree with KAM. Definitely check out thesamba.com
They have everything classifieds... to be able to compare what other cars are being sold for, wanted ads and a search engine to find it all easily. Your best bet by far. - Double Bubble Vee Dub

6)   Primered vehicles "look" worse. And people buy on looks. If it is primered, it suggests that there is hidden body filler(which could be hiding rust holes or dents).
Now I know paint jobs cost money(use to be a case of beer and you could get someone who was good with a spray gun to paint your car). No longer is the case.
I have painted every car I have owned because I did minor body work on them and I did not want to leave it in primer.
Those days paint was cheap(cheaper than today). Nowadays, the cheapest paint is the "commercial grade paint"(which is bulk mixed colorwise) which is alkyd enamel; same as what was used in the 60's. Also these paints ( as they were mixed in bulk lots for "school bus system or major taxi companies(which all cars are the same color- such as Yellow Cabs........) There is a variety of colors that cannot be changed further....(excess paint). Go to an automotive paint store and make inquiries about what you want (basically a cheap paint job). While you will find that you need only a quart of paint, it is the reducers that have gone up in price.
Heck, I found the cost of the paint plus the reducers and other additives for what I wanted (it was still too much) I wanted to do it cheaply (basically changing my car color from silver to yellow (just so I could find it in a parking lot.)
As luck would have it it was a SuperStore and with any new store they carry more products than they regularly would.. In this case they carried paint.
Spray nozzles on the spray bombs (on some of the brands of paint) came out like a spray gun. A thin fan . Perfect. Better than the circular pattern that spray bombs are known with. And it was in "Acrylic enamel"(the next step above alkyd enamel) And cheap. A bomb cost me $2.14 It took me several weekends (as I did it panel by panel) and I used 14 spray bombs. No runs, no misses and an even sheen.(and it was Yellow). Certainly I could have gone with another color but "Corvette yellow" looked kinda good to me at the time.

In short, if you can paint it- do so. The people buying it do not want to paint it right off. As for price.....it depends if you have any VW collectors in your area. Check the newspapers of larger cities if you live in a small one to see what price they are asking and go from there. - Xavwieztsky

Question 5
Generator light on in my 1967 vw bug?...  My Generator light is on i have changed the Generator and the regulator and the Light is still on any suggestions?? or have a story if you have had the same problem.
i have flashed or as they also say polarized it and still douesnt work checking the grounds tomorrow thanks

Answers
1)   if its staying lit doesnt always mean its the generator, could be a multiple of things. cant really give you and answer for that. check vw books they would know more about it. - Karina

2)   You need to check and make sure all your grounds are good. Then check the out put of the generator. - uthockey32

3)   DC generators require "field flashing" usually after replacement of any component in the charging system. This is probably the case with yours. Methods vary as to field flashing but essentially you apply a momentary 12V (battery power) to the field terminal at the voltage regulator, this "excites" the generator field and you're back in business. - Arthur O

4)   Arthur O gave you some solid advise.
Flash the generator so it can start charging or change to an alternator - Rod Knocker
