Can't decide I'm engine happy?

Question 1
Can't decide I'm engine happy?...  So I'm 17 I'm getting a challenger I like big engines but I don't like the gas milage I want the srt8 but that's terrible on gas the rt version is also a v8 with a lil better milage
Ps srt8 is a 6.8 ltr
Rt is 5. Something I think is that rlly much of a difference since there both v8

Answers
1)   www.dodge.com ...........get a manual transmission - Chad Williams

2)   The Challenger is not known for great gas mileage. It's way too heavy, which IMO is its downfall. If you want power with better gas mileage, get the Mustang or Camaro. You'll be much happier, the suspension and quality is better for every day driving anyways. - Daniel

3)   The EPA combined mileage for the SRT8 is 16 mpg. It's 19 mpg for the 5.7. How much that's going to end up costing you depends on how many miles you're going to drive, but if you're willing to spend the extra $11,000 for the SRT8 I suspect cost isn't really a concern to you. - Howard L

4)   Dude, first of all, we don't believe a word you are saying. No parent in their right mind would let their kid get a car like this. Secondly, get your question in the right category. - djaca70

5)   I hope you can drive better then you can write. You will note that, despite the crappy spelling, your post does not even contain a question.

Anyway.. If I were you I would also look at what the insurance is going to cost you for either of those. Likely it will be more then the value of the car after about 3 years, so do you really want to pay that much for whatever you are going to get out of it? THat is a VERY stiff price. - ca_surveyor

Question 2
Are Volkswagen's good running cars?...  Hi, I recently been looking around for a first car. I happen to see a lot of VW Golf/Rabbit/GTI driving around. I'm wondering if a VW is a good choice of car. I hear from some people that they're great running cars and some say after a certain mileage they begin to have "Problems". So, I want to know if someone can give me more detail on these cars.

Answers
1)   They are nice cars... for a while, but are notorious for poor quality. I've never ridden in a VW that had any significant amount of mileage on it that didn't feel like a rat trap (loose, falling apart). - Rizzo The Cleaner

2)   As long as all proper maintenance is done on the car, it will run like a champ.

But, I will tell you that they are known for electrical issues further on in their life with 100K+ mileage.
I know people that are well over 100k and they kept up with proper maintenance, and the cars run great.

I would recommend them, they are nice cars. I own a 2007 VW Jetta with 45K miles, and it has been running great, no complaints. - russian4life2059

3)   You talking about cars in the USA and built in Mexico and Brazil. If you can avoid buying those and get a German import you will have very little trouble, as stated though, you must maintain them properly. - L G

4)   You also should compare car insurance quotes for cars before buying one, for example here - carquotes.sinfree.net - Pete

Question 3
How can I make my 2004 Volkswagen Passat GLX 4motion Faster?...  I do not like how weak the acceleration is on the car. Please i really really need to know.

Answers
1)   you could add a Cold Air Intake, or Exhaust system or a Computer Chip to increase horsepower, which in turn will increase acceleration. Use google to learn more about these.

(the Cold Air Intake and Exhaust system are usually car specific, so you need to get one that fits exactly to your car) - Bob Dooo

2)   The easiest "bolt on" mods are an induction kit and free flow exhaust system. The problem you have with the car you bought is that you are hauling a great chunk of extra transmission around. You need to change your driving style, you can go moderately fast on the straights and very quick around bends with your all wheel drive ! - L G

3)   The cheapest and safest way is to get your computer reprogrammed. The GLX US version was computer limited for emission reasons. You can get this reprogrammed for more horse power and higher delimiter on your RPM. Do some searcho on google, there are lot of shops that does VW tuning does reprogramming your computer. - IKNOWALL

Question 4
Vw bora 1.6 16v small timing belt teeth is brokn while iwas driving and the man timing belt is fine why&how' ?...

Answers
1)   The Bora uses two belts: A main one driving one camshaft from the crankshaft, and another small one between the two camshafts. Either can break or strip teeth if maintenance intervals are ignored, it's most likely that your belts haven't been checked at the required intervals (they should be checked every 20,000 miles, but don't specify a replacement interval).
If the car's done over 60,000 miles without replacement & the belts haven't been inspected, your engine's been living on borrowed time. - J G

2)   Too old, materials have deteriorated with time and use. - Timbo is here

3)   The small belt has suffered greater fatigue and failed. If you did not buy the car new then it is possible only one belt has been changed instead of both during maintenance. - L G

Question 5
Will a body kit for a 2008 VW GTI fit a 2008 VW R32?...  I figure it will since the R32 is just an upgraded version of the GTI, all on the same Golf platform, but I wanted to know for sure before I bought a kit.

Answers
1)   Probably - but you might have to do some on-the-fly fit and finish (same for any kit), and nothing looks worse than a poorly fitting body kit. - River Euphrates

2)   it should do because its the same year and the same body shell - Alex Bufton

3)   It should since the body and the bolt on points for both are the same. - Car freak
