Question 3
Is there a diesel Jetta in VW's 2007 lineup?...  Or was 2006 the last year for the high-mpg diesel Jettas? Did they not sell well or what?

Answers
1)   Youre right they changed them and didnt make a 2007 model. The 2006 still used the 1.9 I think. The new ones suck. Why would they make the newer engines have less mpg's??? - Chris

2)   http://alternativefuels.about.com/od/dieselsbiodiesels/a/2007dieselhub.htm

The following article lists the several VW models (including the Golf and Beetle as well as the Jetta) that do not have a diesel model in 2007. The Touraeg is the only 2007 VW model available in diesel.

I confirmed this news with the following websites:

This article mentions that some 2006 models may still be sold in 2007...

http://forums.tdiclub.com/showthread.php?p=1337107
This is the best article I've found. Mentions that VW is building extra 2006 models to sell into 2007, and confirms that VW plans to release the diesel models again in 2008. Apparently the NO2 (Nitrogen Dioxide) emission exceed new limits.

http://www.usatoday.com/money/autos/2006-10-03-diesels-usat_x.htm
Says that the supply of 2006 Jettas should last through March [of 2007, I assume]

Hope that answers your question! Good luck with your purchase! - laburnic

3)   All of the smaller diesel VW models have been withdrawn from the USA market due to the Ultra-low Sulphur diesel fuel for 2007's onward, the limited availability of that fuel (some stations don't seem to have it yet) and the 2007 emissions rules for diesels. Only the Touareg SUV is currently marketed in the USA as a diesel. In other markets (I'm told even as close as Canada) more VW diesel models are available. Apparently only Mercedes decided to keep all previous diesel models in their USA markup, with other imported brands mostly withdrawing their diesel models. - jaquez

Question 4
Guys, do you find the 2010 volkswagen jettas girly?...

Answers
1)   Not girly nor manly. The 2010 Jetta is more of the "friendly" front face and overall body shape. Maybe "cute" if you will. But it's also "unisexual." If I guy drove a Jetta it's more manlier but if a woman drove one I can understand. BOTTOM LINE no, it's fine the way it looks. - CD

2)   No, not really. But it does seem more like a puny car compared to the Passat or CC, so I wouldn't buy it as a single man. But if I had a family and my wife or 16 year old drove it more than I, yeah, I would go for it. - Andrew

3)   No. I find it to suit both males and females. If you get it in red I think it looks a bit "manlier". Just don't blast any Britney Spears or Jonas Brothers in there and you should be fine. - ahaitsmike

Question 5
How would you compare VW Lupos with Golfs?...

Answers
1)   I would park them side by side and look at them.
I would drive each one in turn to see how they drive, handle etc.
I would do some shopping and check out the boot size.
I would make two lists of figures, 0-60 top speed, MPG litres boot space, costs etc, place the lists side by side and analyse them. - John

2)   There is no comparison between the two cars. Lupo is small and Golf is a bigger car. - Dave

3)   There is no comparison as the Lupo is a small city car and the Golf a family hatchback - Abhard6
